Our story
When we began our careers more than twenty years ago, a music therapist and a technologist had little reason to work together. Rachael was building a clinical and research practice; Marc was building software. Then therapy moved online, and suddenly our two worlds were sitting in the same room, not always comfortably.
What we saw was a profession asked to do clinical work through tools that were never designed for it. A website host here, a practice management tool there, a video app meant for business meetings, and notes written after hours because the day had no room left for them. None of it talked to each other, and all of it was competing for attention that belonged to clients.
Resonia is our answer: one platform where your website, scheduling, sessions, documentation, and in-session tools live together. For therapists who work with music, movement, drawing, or visuals, the tools are built into the room rather than bolted on. And at every step we ask the same question: does this help the therapy, or is it just more technology? If we cannot answer the first, we do not build it.

Our platform addresses a critical gap in the healthcare technology market. While generic telehealth platforms exist, therapists need specialized features for their specific modalities. Through Resonia Sound, music therapists get purpose-built instruments, a soundscape builder with 15 ambient layers, and activity timers. Resonia Insights delivers AI session analysis and quick assessments (SRS, ORS, MTES). Resonia Sites generates complete therapy websites in under 60 seconds with AI, and Resonia Immerse brings therapy beyond the screen with browser-based VR environments.
By consolidating Scheduling, Charts, Practice, Connect, and Portal into one HIPAA-compliant platform, we enable therapists across all modalities to spend less time on administrative tasks and more time delivering evidence-based therapy with enhanced tools that improve client outcomes.
Our Leadership Team
Resonia is led through a partnership of understanding healthcare and technology.
Dr. Finnerty brings extensive expertise in therapeutic practice, research, and education, with specialized knowledge and experience in music therapy. As a Registered Psychotherapist, credentialed music therapist and advocate for evidence-based interventions, she leads Resonia's vision to support therapists across all modalities while pioneering innovations in online music therapy technology.

Marc brings over 20 years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, and digital transformation. He has led technical teams in building scalable healthcare and education technology platforms with a focus on security and user experience.
